This March, Film.io is set to electrify the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas and embody our mission to bridge the gap between filmmakers and fans. From March 8-18, we’re not just attending; we’re transforming the landscape with the Film.io Official SXSW Filmmakers Lounge.
Why SXSW?
SXSW has always been a melting pot of culture, technology, and entertainment, making it the perfect backdrop for Film.io’s goals and objectives. Film.io’s presence at SXSW is driven by a core commitment: to give fans and creators a gamified setting to collaborate and make film & TV projects, together. SXSW is a pivotal festival to share Film.io’s ethos of inclusivity and empowerment through panel discussions and active engagement. But it doesn’t stop there.
What’s Your Story?
This overarching theme for our SXSW participation invites filmmakers to share tales of triumphs and trials, of projects that soared and those awaiting their moment. In line with this, we’re thrilled to unveil the Film.io SXSW Collaboration Grant – a $30K* initiative designed to not only support creators, but also fans who back the winning project. This initiative is a direct reflection of our mission to empower through collaboration, leveraging the unique Film.io ecosystem to provide creators with new pathways to project validation and greenlighting.
Our SXSW Itinerary
- Film.io official SXSW Filmmakers Lounge (March 8-12): As the official sponsor, Film.io is hosting a haven for creativity and exchange at the Royal Sonesta. At the lounge, visitors will hear from esteemed filmmakers about their journeys and attend masterclasses with industry talent.
- Festival Opening Party (March 8 at 10pm): To kick off SXSW, Film.io has invited “Film.io – The Journey” NFT holders to an opening party in the heart of Austin.
- Exhibit Booth (March 8-16): Film.io will be present at the Exhibitor Halls. Visit booth #839 to learn more about the platform and engage with Film.io Co-Creators.
